Forever Home Animal Rescue
Forever Home Rescue is a 501c3 rescue that rescues animals of all kinds in the community since August of 2007. Our President and Founder is Gail Thomas who has been a well respected member of the animal rescue community for 13 + years. We assist strays, members of the community that call for help, local animal shelters that are on over-flow and even shelters in Philadelphia and other communities when we are able to. The rescue provides all medical care and the foster home provides shelter, love and food. We assist as much as we can, but can often be limited in funds to assist animals with expensive veterinary needs. With more funding we are able to turn away less animals in need that may need vetting beyond basic vetting needs . So often animals have broken legs, needs special surgeries and many need expensive dental work.
Currently the rescue has a balance due of almost $4,000 from ill puppies we had in August that had the parvo virus. We also have a Chihuahua named “Lady Bug” in need that needs surgery for an inquinal hernia that will cost approx. $750. Lady Bug will also need extensive dental work done in a few months that will cost approx. $200-$400. She came from a puppy mill as did “Minnie” that just had dental work done costing $350 and she still needs her spay done, which will cost approx. $100-$150. All funds raised for the rescue go directly to the vetting needs of our animals. All volunteersare exactly that and do not get paid. We also partner with Petco, Pet Valu and PetSmart tohelp find homes for our animals ready for adoption. Furry Friends Network
*Furry Friends Network - This is a wonderful group that rescues many dogs and cats from WV and other areas where otherwise they would have no chance of being adopted. My father adopted a coonhound Ike from there. We love hounds!

Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance
The Central Pennsylvania Animal Alliance (CPAA) is committed to ending the killing of dogs and cats as a means of animal population control and is working to create a no-kill community in central Pennsylvania. CPAA is composed of individuals and more than 60 rescues, shelters, and other animal welfare organizations, all working toward the goal of ending the killing through aggressive spay/neuter programs and resources, increasing adoption rates for homeless animals, and educating the community on the importance of spaying and neutering. CPAA believes that by working together, pooling resources, and networking we can more effectively create a better community for the animals. We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization that receives no government funding.
